THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL

There's just something about a bright tablescape that feels like summer, so when our client came to us and said they wanted to go bold, we jumped at the opportunity and ran with it. Sat against a lush green backdrop in Greenwich, CT, this high-contrast tablescape embraced the vibrance of summer and created the perfect setting for a weekend garden party.

With back-to-school just around the corner (and fall creeping in right behind), we're finding every excuse to get outside and enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Pulling inspiration from the natural outdoors, we have spent the last few months setting the table for loved ones to gather, enjoying time with family and friends, and basking in the summer sun.

Garden parties should be relaxed and fun: no fuss, just a casual gathering of friends. From the natural florals to the mis-matched tableware, we wanted this vibrant tablescape to look effortless and light.

Utilizing colorful textiles, women textures and high-contrast settings, we offset the warm wood tones of this outdoor dining table to create a truly beautiful space. The key to this look was finding the right balance between playful and organic. Grounding the space with a light wooden table and white chairs allowed us a neutral canvas to infuse color onto.

Anchoring the look, and creating the perfect symmetry between the tablescape and the surroundings, Flavia Barker (Green of Greenwich) created a beautifully organic arrangement designed to look as if the flowers had been pulled straight from the garden… perfectly simple, in a way that only Green of Greenwich can.

Filled with texture and whimsy, this design was the perfect ending to a summer spent around the table with family and friends.
